Millie Mackintosh, Jessie Ware & Louise Thompson Pledge Allegiance To Cath Kidston

Cath Kidston has a new campaign this season all about women and their handbags – something which is very personal to every woman, and can be a real storyteller in terms of personality and personal life and we love it.

With a particular focus on the universal truth of the two tribes women fall into on the subject of the size of their handbag – either being the kind of girl who carries everything but the kitchen sink or the kind that only carries the bare essentials, Cath Kidston will launch a photographic exhibition called ‘Do You Like Yours Big or Small?’ at their flagship store 180 Piccadilly, featuring high profile friends of the brand including Daisy Lowe, Jessie Ware, Nicola Roberts, Millie Mackintosh, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Cath Kidston herself pledging their allegiance to being either a #totesbig or #totessmall kind of girl and revealing what they carry in their everyday bags.

The exhibition will run for two weeks in the 180 Piccadilly Store, London and will be open to the public, who can also get involved by submitting their own #totesbig and #totessmall images for a chance to be featured in the exhibition. In addition there will be an interactive Ames Room, which distorts the users perception creating a #totesbig or #totessmall effect depending where you’re stood.

The Cath Kidston Ames room will be touring the UK bringing modern vintage British fairground fun to the below spaces:

o    Southampton – 6th & 7th Sept

o    Meadowhall – 13th & 14th Sept

o    Bluewater – 20th & 21st Sept

o    Westfield – 4th & 5th Oct

Chelsea Meets Essex On a Friday Night at Pacata

Last Friday evening saw a true collision of cultures at Singha Beer’s launch for their first European restaurant, Pacata, with East truly meeting West as celebrities, socialites, foodies and journalists came together to enjoy cocktails and menu tasters for a fabulous evening of fun.

Just as Pacata specialises in fusion dishes with a unique story behind them so too was fusion in the air as Louise Thompson and Ferne McCann shared a mojito at the VIP launch. Both brunette beauties looked chic in uncannily similar Spring neutrals bringing glamour and intrigue to the packed event. A hint of coloured metallic and a statement bag set of both outfits with the two chatting intimately whilst enjoying delicious menu-miniatures that were in ample supply.

Both ladies took the opportunity to meet with the restaurant’s menu creator, Yajuzi Marazumi, the world’s only Michelin starred Ramen chef. Ferne said of the restaurant: ‘I have really enjoyed Pacata. Great location. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks.’ We are certain to see the Essex native back at the haunt soon, perhaps on a date for which the location is perfect.

Adding a little testosterone to the proceedings saw Ollie Proudlock in attendance with his beautiful girlfriend. The pair happily enjoyed cocktails and food with friends in the party atmosphere. All three left satiated and eager to return.

In a world exclusive interview and photoshoot, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan open up about their success across the globe, their lovelives and plans for the future.

Zayn, 20, opens up about his relationship with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards: “If you don’t get to see your girlfriend 24/7, when you do get to see her you really make the most of it. Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder.”

Liam, 19, reveals that he is loving life as a singleton since splitting with girlfriend Danielle Peazer: “I’m out of my relationship now, I’m single and having fun with the lads.” He adds: “It’s hard to keep on top of a relationship…obviously it wasn’t happening for us.”

Louis, 21, admits the band won’t be settling their ongoing feud with The Wanted: “It’s a shame that The Wanted thing escalated, but there’s going to be no kissing and making up, that’s for sure. It’s gone too far.” He also confides that he and girlfriend Eleanor Calder are “really loved up.”

And Niall, 19, is quizzed on his recent links to Made in Chelsea’s Louise Thompson: “One meeting turned into a big story, which is ridiculous, so that’s the end of that. It does make me wary. You struggle with who to trust and who not to trust.”

There are three supersized covers to collect and five exclusive posters will be available to download at www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous. Readers will also have the chance to win the unwashed T-shirts the boys are wearing in the shoot and a framed cover print signed by 1D.

A free to watch behind the scenes teaser video is available to watch now at bit.ly/1cMQfxd  and the full exclusive video of the photo shoot will be found on www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous from Sunday.

Fabulous magazine is available free in The Sun every Sunday.

Made in Chelsea’s Andy Jordan and Louise Thompson attend charity surfing event in Cornwall

Surfing world stunned by Surf Challenge for Autism 2013

Fistral Beach in Newquay was brought to a standstill this weekend as a group of autistic surfers took to the water in the Wave Project’s Surf Challenge for autism 2013.

Top-level surfers including former UK champion Russell Winter and 2012 English national champion Hannah Harding were left speechless as they watched as 32 autistic competitors dazzle on the clean 3ft waves.

They were joined by around 1500 spectators who gathered in glorious sunshine at Britain’s most famous surfing beach to watch the display.

Pro surfer Hannah Harding commented: “People watching just couldn’t believe that these competitors had a disability. They were surfing to such a high standard, it was really great to watch!”

The event was funded by the Big Lottery Fund, and delivered almost entirely by volunteers. Around 70 people helped support the event, including celebrity couple Andy Jordan and Louise Thompson, from E4 show Made In Chelsea, and 16 serving Royal Navy officers and junior ratings from RNAS Culdrose.

The judges, the contest director and all the paid competition staff waived their fees, while Fistral Surf Hire Company gave out wetsuits free of charge. The event was also supported by Newquay Surf Lifesaving Club, which offered free use of its club house and surf boards.

Contest organiser Joe Taylor said: “It was just amazing that so many people came to help support this event to ensure that these young people with autism had their chance to shine. It was wonderful to see so much goodwill from local people, organisations and businesses.”

The contest was a truly international event, with competitors coming from Wales and even the Netherlands to take part alongside surfers from the UK. The overall winner of the contest was 13-year old Thomas Koppelaars, from Zaltbommel, in the Netherlands.

Speaking on his behalf, his mother Marjolijn Koppelaars said: “We’re just so delighted. This has been the best experience of his life.”

Second place went to 18-year old Robert Parton, from Swansea. The other two finalists were last year’s winner Robbie Turner, 16, from St Just and Joe Scammell, 10, from Liskeard in Cornwall.

Wave Project director Terry Stanton said: “This event shows just how relevant surfing is to disability sport. We really want to take the Surf Challenge forward now and make it even bigger and better next year.”

Big Lottery Fund’s Helen Bullough said: “Events like this are so important, not only in creating opportunities for people with disabilities, but also in challenging people’s perceptions of disability and what’s possible.

“It is wonderful that so many spectators came out to enjoy the event and make it such a success. Congratulations and thanks to all involved.”

Fun, frolics & fabulousness – Made in Chelsea Series 5

The glamorous set of SW3 returns to our screens next month and there will be a host of new personalities joining London’s hottest social circuit. Sisters Fran and Olivia Newman-Young, designer Josh Coombs and fashionista Phoebe-Lettice Thompson will join new faces from last series Ashley James and Lucy Watson and the returning cast for more shocking drama, tangled love triangles and friendship fallouts.

22 year old make-up artist and party girl Olivia is the younger sister of Francesca and gets a lot of attention from the boys. She’s been known to party with Millie in the past and is a local on the social scene. Fran is Olivia’s sister and wears the ‘protective’ older sibling crown. The 25 year old works in the music industry and went to Leeds with Andy Jordan.

Olivia’s best friend is 22 year old Phoebe. She’s a fashion assistant at Tatler and has an on/off relationship with fellow Made in Chelsea newbie, Josh. 22 year old Josh has a soft spot for Phoebe, even though she’s not dedicated to him. He has worked with Proudlock in the past and is currently setting up his own design business.

Both Ashley and Lucy joined the show during series four and each made an impact in their own special way. Ashley was a welcome introduction, especially to Francis, who found a love interest in Chelsea’s new blonde. Lucy brought her own slice of drama, giving the boys a run for their money as she kept Andy and Jamie guessing her emotions.

The returning cast include Francis Boulle, Richard Dinan, Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue, Victoria Baker Harber, Cheska Hull, Stevie Johnson, Andy Jordan, Jamie Laing, Ollie Locke, Millie Macintosh, Spencer Matthews, Ollie Proudlock, Louise Thompson and Mark-Francis Vandelli.

Last series saw tensions end on an all-time-high with relationship decisions destroying friendships and awkward situations leaving everybody guessing. As the jet-setting socialites return to the fashionable streets of Chelsea, it’s certain that they’ll be more rivalries, new romances and fiery exchanges to keep viewers glued.

Since hitting the screens in May 2011, Made in Chelsea has been E4’s biggest non-scripted success generating a massive following. It remains one of Channel 4’s most talked about shows, trends worldwide on twitter and is regularly the most watched programme on 4oD.
